Partnership Award

Air Products has a formal corporate award program to acknowledge the significant contributions of our business critical suppliers.  This Partnership Award is a prestigious award which highlights those contributions that have added significant value to Air Products and have far exceeded expectations in a supplier relationship.

Each year, there will be an ‘open nomination’ period from April to August during which time suppliers, who believe they meet the criteria of this award, can work with their internal Air Products' sponsor to prepare documentation supporting their nomination. The  sponsor is typically the relationship manager who works closely with the supplier in day to day operations.

A structured, formal evaluation process has been developed to ensure nominations meet specific criteria and are in accordance with Air Products’ values.  The criteria include, but are not limited to, the following categories:

  • Response to a critical crisis situation
  • Innovation
    • Candidate supplies new resources, ideas, technologies or processes that provide measurable value to Air Products.
    • Candidate challenges the status quo in a manner that provides new solutions to AP
  • Candidate is a demonstrated leader in their industry, understands trends and sets direction for one or more portions of their industry.
  • Candidate conducts its business dealings in a socially and enviornmentally responsible manner
  • Exceeds expectation – contract, technical, scorecard, etc.
    • Candidate meets all, and significantly exceeds some contractual commitments
    • Candidate provides technical expertise that delivers substantial value to Air Products
    • Candidate consistently exceeds service level agreement or scorecard targets, if applicable
  • Candidate provides consistent operational excellence, continuously meeting Air Products'  contractual business requirements and increasing value over time. 
    • Candidate follows defined processes
    • Candidate consistently meets clear, enforceable standards
    • Candidate demonstrates a “Client-first” attitude
    • Candidate builds and nurtures a single client/vendor team
    • Candidate demonstrates competence in business operations and functional knowledge that adds value to Air Products

Nominations will be reviewed and evaluated annually. However, the Partnership Award will only be granted when merited.
