Every September, the CDP Council conducts a week-long conference called the CDP Summit for all CDPs in North America. It serves two main purposes.

First, the Summit is meant to unify and integrate the entire CDP population, welcome new hires, and promote networking among CDP participants. Second, it provides a fast and efficient way for all CDP participants to obtain the necessary training that is required of them, in line with company initiatives and directives.

Many events are scheduled, including training and professional development courses, a networking dinner with senior leaders, a Career Fair highlighting various CDP opportunities within the company, as well as various after-work social activities.

The CDP Summit is planned solely by the CDP Council and relies on the help and initiative of a formidable CDP-led planning committee. Thus, it provides a great way for CDPs to take ownership of their own career development, and a young generational influence to the company in a positive, constructive way.
