The CDP Council Activities committee organizes several events during the year where CDP participants volunteer their time to help the community.
Events that the CDP Council organizes are:
Annual Day of Caring – Annually the CDP Council provides help to a local community organization to maintain and improve their facilities. Recently, the event was held at a local after-school program's facilities in Bethlehem, PA. The team spent the day performing maintenance activities, including cleaning and painting. They even decorated the facility's Christmas tree!
Adopt-a-Highway Program – The CDP Council has adopted a section of highway near the corporate headquarters that they clean four times a year.
Engineering Explorers – This is a program that gives high school students a chance to learn about career opportunities in the engineering and science fields. Classes are held once every two weeks for two hours during the school year.
Saturday Morning on Campus – This is a program to teach kindergarten and first grade students science in a fun and interesting way. Members from the CDP community develop the curriculum and provide hands-on activities to teach the area's smallest scientists!
Additionally, members of the CDP Community participate in activities that are organized by other groups from Air Products. The CDP Council helps to inform the CDP Community of these events such as:
Rock the Night to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society The March for Babies supporting the March of Dimes The United Way Campaign Activities with local schools highlighting careers
