Balancing the demands of work and personal lives is not easy. Recognizing this, we offer programs that focus attention and achieve action to help employees deal with competing demands in their lives. Flexibility is the key principle embraced by Air Products, and we have many programs and policies for employees at various stages of life.

Flexible Work Arrangements
Many of our employees are able to take advantage of flexible schedules to allow them to effectively balance their personal needs with the needs of the organization. We use technology to promote this balance. This is part of our culture.
 
Depending on your job or location, these options may apply: flexible work schedules or compressed workweeks, reduced hours including part-time or job sharing, or telecommuting.
 
Work Life Resources
We have a free resource and referral service for practical advice and referrals related to parenting and childcare, eldercare, financial and college planning, retirement planning, and more. There is also a counseling and referral service for employees and family members with personal, mental health or substance abuse problems. The services also provides consultation to mangers and employees on sensitive workplace-based issues.

Time Off Options
Vacation – Company-paid vacation time increases with the number of years with the company. You may also be eligible for up to three unpaid 1-week periods per year if you need additional vacation time.
 
Paid Holidays – including 3 flexible holidays per calendar year
 
Adoption Leave – Four weeks paid leave for the primary caregiver
 
Leave of Absence – Policy provides for unpaid leave for education, child-care, personal reasons, etc. Also includes:
  • Family medical leave – entitles employees to unpaid time off for family and medical reasons. This policy entitles you to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave in a 12 month period for specific medical and family reasons.
Flexible Spending Account
Flexible spending accounts allow you to set aside money on a before-tax basis to pay certain health care and dependent care expenses that are not reimbursed by any other source.
 
Employee Store
The Café is located at our corporate headquarters and provides employees with the convenience of on-site shopping and services. Prepared meals can be brought home for dinner. Dry cleaning and shoe repair services are available. You can even purchase flowers, greeting cards, and small gifts.
