Air Products has a long history of caring for the environment and communities in which our employees, their families, friends and neighbors live and work. For two reasons.

It is the right thing to do. We exist, grow, and prosper as a company only with the consent and support of the publics and the communities that surround us. We have an obligation to do our share to make sure these communities remain healthy and strong.

And it is the smart thing to do. Our success depends on a social, economic, and community infrastructure that is strong and supportive. We see it as a prudent investment to contribute time, money, and knowledge—both directly and through our employees—to ensure that our communities are good places to live and raise a family.

Strategically Addressing Local Needs
We invest $5 million dollars a year in direct grants to community organizations; more through in-kind goods and services. Many of our employees serve in leadership positions with these and other organizations. Thousands more give of their time and talent as part of an employee volunteer effort. From Pennsylvania to California in the U.S., and from the United Kingdom to South Africa to Indonesia, we show our caring about community concerns in hundreds of ways every day.

You'll see our people teaching science and helping at-risk youth. You'll see us in community parks, school, learning centers, and art facilities that enhance the fabric of life. We are helping flood victims in China, drilling wells for clean water in Indonesia, constructing houses in Mexico, underwriting soccer leagues in Singapore, sponsoring literary education in South Africa, and preserving wildlife in Florida.
