CDP Class of 2005 – 2007
Master of Business Administration
University of Maryland
As a CDP, I got involved in some pretty high-profile activities. First, I participated in a study to determine restructuring options for one of the company’s businesses. Then, I was tasked to complete a corporate inventory of greenhouse gas emissions. This inventory became the basis for reduction goals the company is currently developing under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Leaders program.
After seven years of experience in the telecommunications industry, I decided to try something different and returned to school to earn a business degree.
For me, the CDP program represented an ideal way to enter a new industry and was fundamental to my decision to join Air Products. I also think the assessment center approach the company uses to screen candidates for the CDP program is a plus. Not many companies do this. Yes, it’s stressful. But it gave me a chance to fully understand the abilities required for the job.
