John Robinson

John Robinson is vice president‒Northern Region, Americas, at Air Products. He is responsible for the growth and profitability of the company’s integrated Industrial Gases business in the Northeast and Midwest U.S., and Eastern Canada.

Mr. Robinson joined Air Products in 1993 as a participant in the company’s Career Development Program, with commercial assignments in polyurethane additives, cogeneration and emulsion polymers. He subsequently held a variety of positions in product management, marketing and business development within the global polymers business. Mr. Robinson relocated to Cologne, Germany, in 2003 to assume the role of European business manager for Air Products Polymers, L.P., a global partnership between Air Products and Wacker-Chemie. He returned to Allentown in 2005 to lead the strategic planning and analysis department within the Corporate Development Office. After a brief assignment in U.S. Healthcare in 2008, Mr. Robinson spent the subsequent three years in North America Merchant as business manager for the company’s liquid and bulk product lines. In June 2012 he took on the role of general manager, global products, with responsibility for global helium, global Generated Gases and planning in the Global Merchant division.

Mr. Robinson holds a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Tufts University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
