K Y Kim is president of Air Products Korea, Inc. Based in Seoul, Korea, he is fully responsible for the profitability and balance sheet of the company’s Industrial Gases business in Korea and the franchise in Xi’an Hi-Tech Park in China.

Mr. Kim joined Air Products in 1991 as an account manager for the Electronics business in Seoul, Korea, and subsequently held a variety of commercial and marketing positions in Electronics. Mr. Kim’s role expanded in 2004 when he was named a regional manager responsible for Electronics marketing in Asia, and in 2006 he assumed a global Electronic Materials marketing role, with knowledge and understanding of the global electronics market. Mr. Kim was based in Taipei, Taiwan, from 2008-2014, where he served as director, Electronics Business, responsible for the global Electronics Tonnage business, including strategy, product development, asset management and capital projects and then director of Global Process Materials and Delivery Systems.

Mr. Kim served as a member of the board of Air Products San Fu Co. Ltd., an Air Products joint venture in Taiwan, from 2012-2014. He also served as a member of Air Products’ Asia Leadership Council from 2012-2015.

Mr. Kim holds a B.A. degree in liberal arts and an MBA from Korea University. He also attended the Stanford-NUS executive MBA program. Mr. Kim is a member of the board of directors of the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association.
