Dr. Mary Haas

Gardner Cryogenics and Rotoflow™

Dr. Mary Haas is general manager, Gardner Cryogenics and Rotoflow™, at Air Products. She has global responsibility for cryogenic machinery and aftermarket services, as well as high-performance tanks and trailers for liquid helium and liquid hydrogen. Her scope includes commercial activities, engineering, technology and manufacturing.

Dr. Haas joined Air Products in 2003 as R&D technology manager for Electronic Materials, developing commercially proven products spanning microelectronics and solar technologies. She subsequently joined the Global Business Improvement organization where she became a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt supporting multiple technologies. In 2015 Dr. Haas relocated to the company’s regional business office in Houston where she served as business manager for liquid and bulk hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and oil field services. Most recently, she was director of transformation, quality and continuous improvement for engineering, manufacturing, technology and equipment, where she was responsible for organizational transformation and change management, as well as ongoing competitiveness and growth initiatives across all product lines and processes.

Dr. Haas received a B.A. degree in chemistry from Drew University and a PhD in chemistry and materials science from Princeton University. She is a passionate STEM education advocate, including a variety of volunteer activities. Dr. Haas holds eight patents.
