Global HyCO and Americas/EMEA Large ASU Development
Rick Beuttel is executive director, Americas Business Development, for the Global HyCO and Americas/EMEA Large ASU Development team. He is responsible for the development and execution of large projects in the Americas region. Mr. Beuttel also continues to serve as Mexico country manager, responsible for business in Mexico and Central America through the company’s Grupo Infra joint venture. He is also responsible for Caribbean Industrial Gases, the company’s joint venture with Massy Holdings in Trinidad.
Mr. Beuttel joined Air Products in 1990 as a participant in the company’s Career Development Program with initial assignments in plant design, project development, and project engineering. He subsequently became a project engineer for international on-sites and in 1995 joined the Electronics business as an on-site specialist. In 1999 Mr. Beuttel was named business development director for TRiMEGA Electronics, LLC, an Air Products joint venture with the Kinetics Group. He was named business manager for Asia tonnage in Electronics in 2001; business development manager for Latin America in the Gases and Equipment Group in 2006; and business manager for Generated Gases in the Americas in 2012. In 2014 Mr. Beuttel was named director, Americas Business Development, responsible for small- and mid-scale air separation business development in the Americas, prior to assuming his current position.
Mr. Beuttel holds a B.E. degree in mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Lehigh University. He serves as a director for Grupo Infra in Mexico and Caribbean Industrial Gases in Trinidad. In his local community, Mr. Beuttel is chairman of the board for the Lehigh Valley Velodrome and serves on the board of directors for the Emmaus Aquatic Club.
