I graduated from Cornell University with a Chemical Engineering and Chemistry BS/BA degree. Air Products’ Career Development Program (CDP) was a great way for me to try out different disciplines so that I could find my own path. I chose Air Products as a result and joined the company in 1977.
l’ve been given the opportunity to try many different functions. Not only did the CDP keep me challenged, but it has allowed me to broaden my experience and knowledge base. I started in the company’s Chemicals group, then moved to the Electronics division, and then worked in several different positions in the Gases group—finally landing in cylinder gases. My job roles were very diverse as well—from engineering and commercial to starting-up a service business and helping to build a new business model in Asia. During my years with Air Products, I have moved eight times within the US and Asia.
