Vice President‒South America
Pedro M. Riveros is president‒South America at Air Products. He is responsible for the growth and profitability of the Industrial Gases business in the South America region.
Mr. Riveros joined Air Products in 1994 as a participant in the company’s Career Development Program. Following engineering assignments in both the Chemicals and Gases Groups, he became product manager for the amines business. In 1998 Mr. Riveros was transferred to Camaçari, Brazil, where he was named asset manager for HyCO Brazil. He relocated to São Paulo, Brazil, in 2000 as commercial manager for the company’s Latin American amines business, and in 2002 he became country manager for the Chemicals Group–Brazil. In 2005 Mr. Riveros moved back to the U.S. to assume the role of business manager for Liquid Bulk North America Gases. He assumed the role of managing director for Air Products Brazil in 2009. Following Air Products’ acquisition of a majority interest in Indura in 2012, Mr. Riveros moved to Chile to lead the company’s integration efforts, and in 2014 he was named general manager for Indura.
Mr. Riveros holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
