News ReleaseAir Products Honors CAI with IT Partnership Award for Superior Supplier Performance

November 21, 2007 Lehigh Valley, Pa.

Air Products (NYSE:APD) recently honored CAI (Computer Aid, Inc.) with a Global IT Partnership Award in recognition of CAI’s superior performance in supporting Air Products’ global information technology needs, resulting in cost savings, quality improvements and productivity gains. The IT Partnership Award is part of a company-wide Supplier Management Relationship program created to recognize any Air Products supplier who has achieved extraordinary accomplishments supporting the company’s businesses and functions.

CAI supplements the work of Air Products’ Global IT organization with services provided under a long-term contract. CAI has earned the IT Partnership Award by consistently meeting, and in many cases exceeding, several aspects of their service agreement. The IT Partnership Award recognizes CAI for innovation, operational excellence, superior leadership qualities, ethical conduct and integrity, adding value through its products and services, exceptional responsiveness, and more.

“CAI employees consistently go above and beyond our service expectations,” said Pat Zajac, application delivery manager at Air Products. “CAI is much more than a service provider or support supplier—they’re truly committed to Air Products’ success.”

Air Products’ Global IT organization is the first in the company to recognize a supplier as part of this program and supported the nominations of several key IT suppliers. On scorecard metrics related to the award criteria, CAI’s performance is consistently impressive in the areas of technical expertise, application development and support services delivery, troubleshooting and crisis intervention, alignment with Air Products’ core values, support of Air Products’ standards, practices, guidelines, and processes, and more.

“CAI is honored to have been selected by Air Products to receive this prestigious award,” said Paul Smith, general manager at CAI. “Our teams work very hard to provide exceptional value to Air Products, and to be recognized in this way by a global company as innovative and well respected as Air Products is very gratifying. This has been a great long-term collaboration.”

CAI has provided services to Air Products’ Global IT organization for 20 years, helping to run the company’s global computing environment. Two years ago, CAI also began providing application development and maintenance support. With the help of CAI, Air Products’ systems continue to evolve to meet the company’s business needs with robust functionality and comprehensive reach.
