Air Products has increased efficiency by 20% for its customer Arctic Fish Products in work completed over just two weekends. In line with its commitment to long-term customer service and proactive improvement, Air Products reviewed Arctic Fish’s Freshline® freezing equipment and implemented a range of measures to optimise its performance and throughput.
Arctic Fish Products is a contract fish freezing company supplying primarily into the wholesale trade. The unpredictable nature of its business means flexibility is essential. Ken Sisson, production director, comments: “Our throughput levels change every day depending on the morning’s catch and our customers’ requirements. Formed in 2006, Arctic Fish has grown quickly to reach a turnover of £1.2 million. The Grimsby-based company is an employer of thirty and is occupied with the processing, freezing, grading, packing and cold storage of white fish, notably cod, haddock and plaice.
The world seafood market is predicted to exceed US$388.9 billion by 2010*, with the frozen seafood segment witnessing increases in terms of both volume and value.
