At Pro2Pac 2013, Air Products will introduce its two latest innovations to the Food industry: the state-of-the-art Freshline® MP tunnel freezer, offering the best in quality, productivity and hygiene, and the Freshline Plus cylinder: the first food-grade, ultra-hygienic cylinder designed specifically for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) applications.
The Freshline MP tunnel freezer incorporates over 20 years of Air Products' knowledge in the cryogenic food sector and the advantages of this are clear to be seen. It is highly versatile, suitable for a variety of applications including cooling, crust freezing and Individual Quick Freeezing (IQF), and offers consistent quality whether it is being used for seafood, meat and poultry, fruit and vegetables, dairy products, pasta, ready meals, bakery products or pastries.
By virtue of its modular design with a range of sizes from 6 metres in 3 metre modules, it can be easily adapted to any production process and can be equipped with various conveyor belts, available in two different widths.
It also offers high performance, with the capability to freeze up to 3,000 kg of products per hour and operate continuously for up to 20 hours a day. The innovative design simplifies its operation thanks to a touch screen which is available in several languages and can save pre-programmed recipes for fast implementation. It is also easy to maintain and clean thanks to the easy opening system and a belt cleaning system as standard. An optional assisted cleaning system throughout the entire tunnel is also available. In addition, its designers opted for a lateral extraction system to prevent condensation contaminating products and have fitted the extraction hood with a cleaning ring. The Freshline MP tunnel freezer therefore adheres to the latest international hygiene standards.
Also focused on hygiene, the Air Products Freshline Plus cylinder on the market is the very first food-grade cylinder designed and developed to minimize the risks of contamination in clean food processing areas. This is achieved through several innovations in the cylinder design, notably a built-in 0.2 micron sintered bacterial filter which guarantees optimum gas purity for each food packaging application and an external antimicrobial coating which prevents the growth of microbes, bacteria and mold on the cylinder's surface which works to minimize the risk of contamination in food preparation areas. With an approved appearance to extend the service life of the cylinder and a residual pressure valve fitted to prevent any external contamination, as well as full compliance with the latest European regulations and standards required for food safety and traceability, backed by a Certificate of Conformity supplied with every cylinder, the food packaging user can enjoy complete peace of mind.
We have mixtures and pure gases available that can be used with ready meals, raw and cooked meats, processed meats, dairy and bakery products.
