Please describe your career at Air Products to date.
Mechanical Engineering CDP started in CryoMachinery, then Machinery engineering. Moved into a commercial Procurement role with growing responsibilities. Then transitioned to operations where I led a team for 8 years with significant accomplishments for the company. Recently moved into a commercial business development role.
Tell me about the most intriguing/satisfying thing(s) you’ve been involved in since you’ve been at Air Products.
Participating in wins at Air Products. Great feeling to know that you’ve done something to better the future of the company and your colleagues.
What career advice would you give to those just starting out in their engineering careers?
Be humble and learn from those around you. It takes time to get to the top so be patient and work hard. Your strategic network matters more than you realize so start building it now.
Please explain what you do (in your current and/or previous job) contributes to sustainability?
In my new role, I am working closely with customers to develop and grow the business within Air Products. I’m looking for new opportunities to improve our cost to serve benefits and drive lower distribution costs to our customers by working closely with the sub-regions to improve our “power-zones”. Specifically, I’m working with a water municipality to offer a more efficient plant that is used for water treatment.
