Amy Holovaty
Atmospheric Business Manager, South Region

Why did you join Air Products?
Biggest influence was the CDP program along with AP being a very reputable company.

Why do you love working at Air Products? What is it that keeps you working at Air Products?
The company has always provided me with challenging opportunities that have allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. I also truly enjoy working with my co-workers.

Please describe your career at Air Products to date.

Started working at AP in 1997 as a CDP. Spent the first 7 years in engineering roles in both project and project development engineering. Transitioned to the business side of the company after getting my MBA with roles in both Chemicals and ASU.

Tell me about the most intriguing/satisfying thing(s) you’ve been involved in since you’ve been at Air Products.

Honestly, I cannot narrow it down to one specific thing. More generically, I am always most satisfied when I feel I made a contribution to the company – made a difference. Whether it is something small or large, it is the feeling of getting something accomplished that matters to someone, my team, my region or the company as a whole that is most satisfying.

What career advice would you give to those just starting out in their engineering careers?

Challenge yourself, be flexible, and be willing to take on roles/assignments that make you feel uncomfortable.

Please explain what you do (in your current and/or previous job) contributes to sustainability?

Working with our power provider to evaluate options to invest in solar and wind power generation projects which ultimately would provide power to our plants.
