Jennifer Creitz
North America Greenhouse Gases Program Manager

Why did you join Air Products?
I joined Air Products because I wanted to work with a great group of people in a nice location. I also loved the opportunity provided by the Career Development Program (CDP), which allowed me to experience different engineering roles within the company.

Why do you love working at Air Products? What is it that keeps you working at Air Products?
The people. From the office to the field, we have a team of hardworking, smart, caring people who are committed to doing the right thing – doing the job correctly, and most importantly, doing it safely.

Please describe your career at Air Products to date.
I joined Air Products in 1990 under the Career Development Program. I had the opportunity to work in 3 different assignments (Research, Process Engineering, and Environmental). I knew that Environmental work was my passion and have been working in our Environmental ever since my 3rd CDP assignment.

I am an Environmental Engineer specializing in air compliance for our hydrogen plants. Specifically, I support our Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) which monitor our compliance with our air permit emissions limits.

I recently took on a new role - North America Greenhouse Gases (GHG) Program Manager. I am responsible for defining the impact of the ongoing proposed changes to the GHG regulations on Air Products and its customers in the USA and Canada. I ensure that we have systems and work processes defined, resulting in full compliance with the regulations.

Tell me about the most intriguing/satisfying thing(s) you’ve been involved in since you’ve been at Air Products.
The time I have most enjoyed and have worked the hardest is during the startup of our large hydrogen plants. Working with the engineers who have designed the plant, and the field personnel who will be running the plant – it is very exciting to see so much hard work come together.

My favorite part of my job is when I spend time in the field supporting our operating plants.

What career advice would you give to those just starting out in their engineering careers?
Find a place where you respect the company’s values and you will likely find a team with whom you are proud to be a part.

Please explain what you do (in your current and/or previous job) contributes to sustainability?
I ensure Air Products’ compliance with GHG regulations.
