Rita M. Norat

Director, Project Execution

Rita Norat is the director project execution for the India region. She is responsible for the expansion of local capabilities in all Project Execution functions – project management, project controls, construction and start-up. In addition to her role as director project execution, she is the project manager for Air Products Kochi Phase II Syngas project, responsible for overall safety, cost, schedule, quality and project performance along with customer interface relationship.

Ms. Norat joined Air Products in 1996 as a participant in the company’s Career Development Program undertaking assignments and various positions of increasing responsibility in manufacturing, plant process operations and project management.

For the first 16 years of her career, she worked as a project manager in various engineering divisions within Air Products; primarily in sale of equipment projects in Asia and Latin America. During 2015-2017, she held the role of manager, project management and development team, with Air Products’ Americas Project Execution region where she had accountability for execution and performance. . Ms. Norat has extensive global experience leading projects in North and South America as well in Asia-Pacific along with an international assignment in the UK focusing on projects in Europe and South Africa.

Ms. Norat graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, with Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and later went on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - Troy, New York, followed by a Master’s degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University- Ithaca, New York. She is an affiliate member of Project Management Institute (PMI), Construction Industry Institute (CII) and Engineers without Borders - Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania Chapter.
