Improved productivity
Ferromaxx Plus gas increases manual weld speeds by up to 19% compared with conventional shielding gas mixtures.

"After switching from 75/25 to Ferromaxx Plus gas, we've considerably reduced the amount of time required to weld, improved the air quality in our shop, reduced the amount of time for cleanup of welds, eliminated the need for flux core wire, and boosted our productivity."
—Orestes Mihaly
Director of Operations
Entolo, New Windsor, New York

Fewer rejects
Ferromaxx gases are easy to use and tolerant to variations in weld parameter settings. This improves weld quality and means fewer rejects.

A better working environment
Because ozone is a health hazard which cannot always be removed by fume extraction equipment, Air Products has concentrated on developing gases that give low ozone exposure levels. The result—a gas that provides a better working environment as well as improved productivity and fewer rejects.

"At Hendrick Motorsports, we're constantly searching for speed and 'the winning edge.' Since switching from 75/25 to Ferromaxx Plus gas, we've seen considerably less spatter and odor, faster travel speeds, and a shinier, cleaner bead profile."
—Eddie Dickerson
Director of Chassis Engineering
Hendrick Motorsports, Harrisburg, North Carolina

Ferromaxx Plus
the best gas for steel

Ferromaxx Plus MIG/GMAW fillet weld in 1/2-in. thick ASTM A36 steel
Ferromaxx Plus MIG/GMAW fillet weld in 1/2-in. thick ASTM A36 steel

improves weld quality and reduces rejects; excellent penetration characteristics and tolerant to variations in weld parameter settings

higher productivity: up to 19% increase in manual weld speeds when compared with conventional mixtures; also reduces cleanup times due to minimal spatter and a smooth, flat weld finish

cuts cylinder stocks; suitable for all material thicknesses and all consumable types (solid, metal, and flux cored wires)

protects the work environment due to minimal ozone generation

Ferromaxx 7
the thin steel specialist

Ferromaxx 7 MIG/GMAW fillet weld in 1/8-in. thick ASTM A36 steel
Ferromaxx 7 MIG/GMAW fillet weld in 1/8-in. thick ASTM A36 steel

improves weld quality and reduces rejects; excellent weld pool control, particularly at low voltages on thin sheet materials and for positional welding

cuts post-weld cleaning times; ultralow spatter levels and excellent pulsed arc characteristics

Ferromaxx 15
the reliable all-rounder

Ferromaxx 15 MIG/GMAW butt weld in 1/2-in. thick ASTM A36 steel
Ferromaxx 15 MIG/GMAW butt weld in 1/2-in. thick ASTM A36 steel

improves weld quality and reduces rejects; excellent penetration characteristics and tolerant to variations in weld parameter settings

cuts cylinder stocks; suitable for all material thicknesses

protects the work environment due to minimal ozone generation
