(March 19, 2002) — As the most experienced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) cryogen service company in the world, Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.'s (NYSE:APD) new brochure, °KeepCOLD® Services for MRI Equipment, showcases the company's global capabilities in keeping more than 5,500 customer sites' magnets up and running—optimally.
The literature describes how Air Products' more than 100 highly-trained °KeepCOLD technicians are able to perform more than 40,000 magnet fills annually, supported by the company's extensive network of more than 100 helium production facilities, more than 3,000 dewars in inventory and Air Products' own fleet of trucks. The brochure also explains how each dewar and delivery is tracked by a team of expert helium schedulers from one of Air Products' strategically located MRI operations centers around the globe.
Beyond these traditional magnet fill capabilities, Air Products also offers a °KeepCOLD Cryo-Shielding Maintenance Service—which involves change-out and/or repair of the cold head, compressor, oil adsorber and other components—as well as a Web-based °KeepCOLD ColdTrackSM Monitoring Service which allows Air Products to actively monitor OEM customers' helium levels and troubleshoot and schedule preventative maintenance before a problem occurs. These services are focused on mitigating the risk of magnet quenching, significantly reducing the number of emergency fills and related costs and helping customers optimize their cryogen usage. |
