LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (May 16, 2002) — The Board of Directors of Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD) today increased the quarterly dividend on the company's common stock to 21 cents per share from 20 cents. This represents an increase of 5 percent. The dividend is payable on August 12, 2002 to shareholders of record at the close of business on July 1, 2002.
In commenting on the dividend increase, Chairman John P. Jones stated, "This is the twentieth consecutive year Air Products has increased its quarterly dividend, reflecting our continued confidence in the company's prospects for long-term growth, the profitability of our businesses, and our strong financial condition." |
