AIR PRODUCTS INCREASES PRICE FOR DI-METHYL-FORMAMIDE
 

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (July 15, 2002) — Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD) announced today that, effective August 1, 2002, it will increase its price by three cents per pound for Di-Methyl-Formamide (DMF). DMF is sold to markets including polyurethane resins, acrylic fibers, pharmaceuticals, electronics and butadiene. The increase will be implemented for sales only in North and South America to offset higher energy and raw materials costs associated with the production of this product.
