AIR PRODUCTS ANNOUNCES PRICE INCREASES FOR ALL METHYLAMINES AND DIMETHYLUREA

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (February 12, 2003) — Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD) announced today that, effective March 17, 2003, it will increase prices for all methylamines and dimethylurea sold in North America by six cents per pound. The affected products include monomethylamine (MMA), dimethylamine (DMA), and trimethylamine (TMA) and their solutions, as well as dimethylurea (DMU) and DMU solutions.

The increases are necessary to offset rapidly increasing energy and raw materials costs associated with the production of these products.
