AIR PRODUCTS INCREASES PRICE FOR DI-METHYL-FORMAMIDE
 
LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (March 12, 2003) — Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD) announced today that, effective April 15, 2003, it will increase prices by three cents ($0.03) per pound for Di-Methyl-Formamide (DMF). DMF is sold to the polyurethane resins, acrylic fibers, pharmaceuticals, electronics and butadiene markets. The increase will be implemented only for sales in North and South America to offset higher energy and raw materials costs associated with the production of this product.
