AIR PRODUCTS' ROCK BAND "THE DIFFERENCE" TO PERFORM AT SYMPHONY HALL BENEFITING "CAMELOT FOR CHILDREN"

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (April 17, 2003) Extending its distinction as the best corporate band in America and its mission to support local charities, Air Products' band "The Difference" will perform at Symphony Hall, 23 North 6th Street in Allentown on May 9, 2003, with proceeds benefiting "Camelot for Children," a non-sectarian organization helping children with serious, chronic, terminal illnesses and disabilities.

"An Evening With The Difference" is sponsored by The Network of Young Professionals, a Lehigh Valley organization established in 2001 to foster networking, professional development and excitement about living and working in the area among young people.

"New Kind of Talk," an electric contemporary jazz group, led by bass guitarist Jim McGee, will open the show at 8:00 pm. "The Difference" will play from 9:00-11:00 p.m. featuring songs from its latest album, "Anything At All … for Charity," including cover songs as well as an original piece written and performed by band member Ed McKendry. Copies of the new CD will be on sale at the concert with proceeds benefiting local area charities.

Tickets for "An Evening With The Difference" are $20.00 in advance; $25.00 at the door. Call 610-706-1216 or visit www.airproducts.com/AboutUs/TheDifference to order tickets.

"The Difference" represents a unique business-marketing tool that distinguishes Air Products from its competitors and other companies. The band creates a memorable and positive image of Air Products and its employees in the eyes of some of the company's key stakeholders. The band also symbolizes Air Products' longstanding philanthropic spirit of giving to those who are less fortunate through their performances at community and charitable events.

In October 2001, "The Difference" won the First Annual Battle of the Corporate Bands sponsored by Fortune magazine at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. Air Products was a presenting sponsor at last year's event and provided entertainment during the event's evening VIP reception. Proceeds benefited the Hall of Fame Education Fund.

Band members include Sal Nicrone from South Whitehall Township; Ed McKendry, Allentown; Steve Eck, New Smithville; Jim Gorman, Schnecksville; Barry Grow, Bethlehem; Joe Hilgar, Barto; Jim Meyer, Bethlehem; and Terry Wetzel, Allentown.
