LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (January 14, 2002) –Air Products Polymers, L.P. today announced that, effective February 2, 2004, it would implement a two-cent ($0.02) per wet pound price increase for vinyl acetate homopolymer and copolymer emulsions, and all ethylene, vinyl chloride-based emulsions. These products are marketed by the company under the Airflex®, Flexbond®, and Vinac® trademarks. This price adjustment, to be applied in North America markets only, is being driven by increased costs in raw materials used in the manufacture of these products.
Air Products Polymers' Airflex, Flexbond, and Vinac emulsion products are used in applications including adhesives, building products, nonwovens, paper, carpet, and textiles.
Air Products Polymers, L.P. is a joint venture between Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (Allentown, Pa., NYSE:APD) and Wacker-Chemie GmbH (Munich, Germany) that manufactures and distributes latex polymers. |
