"Air Products Healthcare is committed to becoming the premier homecare company in the U.S., and our modern Young's Medical Equipment facility is a fine example of our efforts to reach that goal," said Dave Hunter, chief operating officer for Air Products Healthcare. "We define a premier homecare company as one that's best at providing quality care for our customers. It also means providing an environment in which our employees can thrive and be proud of their company and the work they do for the people in their communities."
Air Products acquired Young's Medical Equipment as part of a platform of companies known as American Homecare Supply in 2002. The new Bethlehem facility results from the consolidation of two former Young's Medical facilities in Palmer Township and Hanover Township, a consolidation in which no employees were lost from a 130-person workforce. The Emrick Boulevard facility features a walk-in retail store where the general public can purchase home medical equipment and supplies, including home oxygen systems and other home respiratory devices, as well as wheelchairs, hospital beds and walking aides. The location also houses customer service and billing operations, and contains ample warehouse space.
