20th December 2007 — Local industrial gases company, boosts Surrey based Perthes Association charity fund in time for Christmas. By donating cash for new trike equipment, Air Products will help young children suffering with severe bone conditions, like perthes become more mobile.
Perthes disease mostly affects children aged between three and eight years old, although it can occur at any time between two and sixteen years.
Lisa Grant, Perthes Association comments, “It is a very distressing period for children and an anxious time for the parents. Receiving donations allow us to buy more equipment which can then be lent out to children suffering from Perthes and become more mobile in their everyday life.”
Nicola Wilson, of Air Products, said, “Supporting children in our local community is something we - as an organisation- are very proud of. The Perthes Association carry out invaluable work and we hope the trikes will help them continue to do so.” |
