Air Products’ Fuelling Station is First to Fuel Hydrogen Cars in U.K.
On 17th April, Air Products and the University of Birmingham unveiled the first hydrogen fuelling station to fuel cars in the U.K.
The Air Products hydrogen fuelling station, situated at the University’s Department of Chemical Engineering on its Edgbaston campus, will be used to fill five hydrogen powered vehicles.
The hydrogen vehicles will be compared with the University’s own fleet of petrol, diesel and pure ‘electric’ vehicles. Researchers will determine how these vehicles need to be adapted in order to make hydrogen an attractive, practical and cost effective option as a future fuel.
