Air Products Uses Continuous Improvement to Create a High Performing Organization
Air Products, like many companies, has a tradition of making improvements in all its operations. Today these efforts are referred to as "Continuous Improvement" (CI) and are about trying to significantly increase the rate of improvement beyond what has been done previously, doing it better than the competition, and sustaining it.
In a recent interview with Business Excellence magazine, Chris Bujak, former global director of Continuous Improvement at Air Products, talks about the evolution of CI and describes the five fundamental elements of the company’s current CI formula, which strives to create a unique culture of people and organizations that can identify waste and provides them with the tools and support to eliminate it.
