Air Products Supports Industry Organizations

The Polyurethane Manufacturers Association (PMA) is an organization which is vital to the long-term growth of the cast elastomer industry. By providing technical, marketing and regulatory affairs support to the industry, the PMA has continually proven its value

As a firm supporter of the PMA, Air Products participates heavily in many of the association's activities. Steve Gingras, Air Products' Marketing Manager for Polyurethane Specialty Products (PSP), has been an active PMA member since 1991, and for the last three years, has managed the PMA Marketing Division. In addition, in March 1999, Steve was elected to serve a two-year term as a Director of the PMA. Steve also serves as the President of CUMA, the Canadian Urethane Manufacturers Association.

A number of other PSP personnel are currently involved in PMA programs, including participation in the PMA Design Seminar Team, which develops training programs to help engineers outside the PUR industry identify uses for polyurethanes; participation in the PMA Education Division; as well as helping co-chair recent association meetings.

According to Dick Church, the PMA Executive Director, "The PMA has a long history of dealing successfully with a variety of industry issues, especially in the area of chemical regulation. The effectiveness of the PMA is based on the involvement and input of its members. Air Products stands as a first-class example of this commitment and participation. Thank you Air Products. We couldn't do it without you."
