Where We Stand on Responsible Care®

One of Air Products' key goals is to be an industry leader in Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) performance. Why? Because we believe that we have an obligation to our customers and employees, and to the communities in which we operate. We also recognize that environmental and safety stewardship makes good economic sense. We are committed to programs such as Responsible Care, an initiative of the Chemical Manufacturers Association (CMA), to improve EH&S performance within the chemical industry. CMA members pledge conscientious management of chemicals—from product inception through manufacturing, distribution, use, recycling and disposal.

Air Products is proud to report that as of the beginning of 1998, our Performance Chemicals Division is in 100% compliance with all six of the Responsible Care initiatives. (The current industry average is approximately 80% compliance.)
