Air Products CryoCondap™ for Cryogenic Solvent Recovery and Abatement of Volatile Organic Compounds.
Our system for recovering Volatile Organic Compounds are designed to help companies meet tougher government legislation across the world, now and in the future.
Stricter government legislation has forced many companies to become better at measuring and controlling their solvent emissions. Air Products offer a full consultancy and engineering service to design, customise and build your CryoCondap™ VOC solvent recovery systems to meet individual company requirements, allowing compliance with environmental solvent emission regulations.

Features and Benefits
With Air Products' CryoCondap™, solvent recovery need no longer be viewed as a cost, rather as an opportunity to improve a plant's overall economics.
Your solvents may be recovered for re-use or re-sale
The CryoCondap™ system can recover more than 99% of almost every solvent
Your plant operating costs can be minimised
The equipment costs for a CryoCondap™ are generally lower than other systems and the pure gaseous nitrogen can be recovered and re-used in other processes on-site.
There is no added waste
The CryoCondap™ is a zero added waste system, so it creates no additional problems
Your plant emission targets can be met
With virtually 100% solvent recovery, your emissions can conform to the toughest environmental legislations of today and tomorrow. It is possible to reach discharge concentrations as low as 10mg/m³ ntp (normal temperature and pressure).
How Does It Work?
If we can cool a process gas that contains the pollutants then, at a certain temperature, the chemicals will begin to condense and freeze.
The CryoCondap™ system uses liquid nitrogen in a heat exchanger to cool down the process gas. As the temperature drops, so does the capacity of the gas to carry the VOCs as vapour. They condense and freeze into particles. These particles are stripped through gravity, adhesion to a cold condenser surface and through a filtering system (called a de-mister). The process gas now conforms to environmental legislation and can be discharged into the atmosphere.
Who Uses Our System?
The Air Products CryoCondap™ system is used in a wide variety of processes, industries and applications ranging from the stringent requirements of solvent reclamation in the pharmaceutical industry, to solvent recovery on coating lines, degreasing applications and refrigerator recycling.
