Fueling Stations
 Air Products offers a full line of flexible hydrogen fueling and sourcing options. We will work with you to define the best solution to meet your fueling needs.
We have extensive experience in the supply of hydrogen to vehicles ranging from small off-road types to automobiles and buses. We can design systems for fuel cell and internal combustion vehicles fed with hydrogen, as well as vehicles that use hydrogen/ natural gas blends.
Hydrogen Fueler
 This mobile fueling unit provides totally self-contained fueling that offers zero emissions and no utility hook-ups. The customer does nothing but fuel their vehicles. Air Products monitors the fuel level and refills the unit by hauling it via pick-up truck to a regional supply point. The Fueler is ideal for demonstration projects of up to 20 light duty vehicles.
Packaged Fueling Station Designs
 Our fueling stations are designed for minimal installation and can be used with any form of hydrogen supply, from delivered to on-site generation. The stations are designed for high efficiency by taking advantage of the available pressure from the hydrogen supply source. The dispenser is integrated into the delivery equipment package. These stations will service fleets from as small as 2 light-duty vehicles to up to 6 buses.

Customized Fueling Stations Many of our customers have specific requirements that demand customization. From integrating hydrogen fueling into existing bus terminals to meeting the needs of retail fueling locations, Air Products has been able to offer the low cost option through our extensive experience in fueling stations and industrial hydrogen where we own and operate our own equipment. We also provide an extensive range of engineering services including fuel monitoring, maintenance facilities, operation and safety training.
Fueling Station Components
 The dispenser is the critical interface for vehicle fueling. Air Products' technology allows communication between the vehicle and the fueling station to provide full fills in times expected for conventional fueled vehicles. The customer interface is automated and easy to use. Options are available for multiple fueling pressure, blended fuels and product metering.
Hydrogen Supply Air Products offers complete flexibility in the supply of hydrogen. We can provide hydrogen sourced from natural gas, waste off-gas recovery or power, either delivered to the site or produced on-site. We work with our customers to determine the best source of supply to meet their needs, within the geographic supply networks that are available.
Delivered Hydrogen
Air Products supplies delivered hydrogen in the form of compressed gas and cryogenic liquid. We are the largest supplier of merchant hydrogen in the world. We traditionally deliver compressed tube and cryogenic liquid trailers as well as compressed cylinders. In addition, we are developing capabilities to fill metal hydride canisters.
On-Site Hydrogen Generation
Air Products is a leader in developing on-site hydrogen generation by reforming natural gas. We have also owned and operated electrolysis generation for decades.
PRISM® Hydrogen Generator–Air Products is completing extensive field testing of our natural gas based reformer generator at our energy station in Las Vegas and we are incorporating operating experience into our next generation product. This equipment is available for new energy and fueling projects.
Electrolysis–Air Products offers fully integrated fueling capability for a wide range of vehicle fleets. Our hydrogen system integration and operating experience in electrolysis units is ideally suited to demonstrate its capability in renewable power applications.
Purification–Air Products is a technology leader in pressure swing adsorption and membrane purification technology. Our designs are efficient, low cost and easy to operate. We are completing trial tests of our new equipment design of 50 Nm3/hr capacity systems.
Temporary Fuel Needs
Air Products offers several options for meeting temporary fueling requirements:
Multiple Source Fueling Cart–Provides a simple connection to multiple hydrogen supply sources for dispensing of hydrogen into vehicles
High Pressure Packs–500 barg (6000 psig) and contain 10 kg of hydrogen for small needs
