Transportation
Due to increasing interest in clean and efficient fuels, automotive companies are developing automobiles, buses and light duty vehicles that utilize hydrogen.
As a fuel, hydrogen offers many advantages over other alternative fuels. It is the cleanest burning, the simplest and the most efficient. It can be used in vehicles either with a fuel cell as the cleanest option, or in internal combustion engines with significantly reduced emissions. Fuel cell powered vehicles that turn hydrogen into electricity are non-polluting, quieter and up to three times more efficient than diesel engines.
Air Products has taken a leadership position in the development of the hydrogen infrastructure that will be required to fuel these new vehicles.
We are participating in a number of hydrogen energy demonstration projects, supplying hydrogen, project management and safety training capabilities, as well as the design of new hydrogen dispensers and fueling stations. Visit our recent projects listing for more information.

Hydrogen Fueling Supply
Hydrogen fueling supply can be divided into four components: hydrogen production, distribution of the hydrogen to the fueling station, hydrogen storage, and delivery of the fuel to the application (i.e., fuel cell powered vehicles, etc.) There are multiple methods for producing, storing and distributing hydrogen, enabling a great deal of flexibility in the design of a fueling station. Let us tell you about the hydrogen fuel supply system components.
