Diversity Education Programs

  • Leadership Education
    • Leadership Education is an investment in the future of Air Products . . . a future that begins with a solid foundation of leaders committed to "Deliver the Difference". A significant portion of the program is devoted to diversity. The diversity module focuses on developing and leading high-performance teams and the leadership actions and skills necessary to: create, value, support and sustain diverse teams, improve team performance, and shape organizational environments to maximize diversity and teamwork.
  • Leadership College
    • As an outgrowth of Leadership Education and to sustain the teaching of that successful effort, a six day program of material is provided to managers over several months. One of the days is devoted to diversity and is linked to the teamwork module. The diversity material is focused on the role that managers play in fully leveraging diversity and skills are taught to help managers intervene to ensure an inclusive workplace.
  • Valuing Diversity Workshop
    • Creating an environment where difference is respected, welcomed and fully utilized is a value and business objective of Air Products. Valuing diversity is one of the competencies we promote and expect of the company's employees. Respect for all employees, fair treatment and inclusion set the tone for everyone to provide maximum contribution to the company and makes Air Products a great place to work. This half-day workshop, given to all employees, is intended to provide the basics regarding diversity and has the following four objectives:
      • To increase awareness of differences and the impact of differences in the workplace
      • To create and support acquisitions and reorganizations by increasing awareness of the impact of cultural differences
      • To provide models and tools for understanding diversity challenges and opportunities
      • To identify individual actions that help support the vision of and strategy for diversity at Air Products.
  • Specialized Diversity Orientations (Diversity Leadership Teams, Network Forum Leaders)
    • Training, orientations, and interventions are conducted as required. For example, there are orientation sessions for newly formed Diversity Leadership Teams. New leaders of Employee Networks receive special training on how to effectively lead their networks and influence management's decisions.
