Our goal is to improve the quality of education and training of students and help develop opportunities for under-represented minority students in disciplines related to the interests of the company. We are also increasingly concerned with helping students go on to higher education, and provide scholarships, mentors, and internship opportunities. Our Matching Gift program complements our grant making with a match to accredited colleges and universities.

Institutions or organizations which serve one or more of the following purposes are considered for support:

• Colleges and universities, or departments/organizations within these institutions, with which the company has a past, current, or potential recruiting and/or research relationship.
  
  
• Colleges and universities with strong minority development and scholarship programs which provide graduates with degrees of interest to the company.
  
  
• Colleges and universities in areas where a significant number of company employees live and work.
  
  
• Colleges and universities which provide degree programs or work-related courses of interest and benefit to company employees.
  
  
• Colleges and universities which offer the company the opportunity to assist in developing course material and/or programs which provide graduates to fill selective company human resource needs.
  
  
• Organizations which help prepare or offer assistance to qualified or deserving individuals seeking a college education, e.g., National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
  
  
• Libraries which are open to the general public.
