Southern Air Products (SAP), China, has donated its 2001 EH&S Leadership Award (an internal award for safety excellence) of $1,000 to the Guangzhou Social Welfare Institution. A group of Southern Air Products representatives visited the Institution and presented this gift to Ms. Han, Director of the Children's Center. This gift to the Institution will support the Center in improving the living conditions of handicapped children. This Institution, known as the Holy Nursery and previously run by a Canadian Catholic Convent, is a non-profit organization for hundreds of homeless children as well as senior citizens. Southern Air Products is located in Guangzhou and serves more than 160 customers from its Guangzhou air separation plant.
