Employees from Air Products Indonesia in Jakarta recently participated in their first-ever Day of Caring at an organization called Kampung Kids. Kampung Kids, which translates to "Village Kids," is an organization that provides basic nutrition, healthcare, and education for needy children in a "Kampung" located in Jakarta. Over 200 children are provided one serving of soup and rice three days a week. Additionally, children five and under and breastfeeding mothers receive a cup of milk. The organization also provides school tuition. Recently, a building was renovated to be used for preparing meals and for providing educational programs.
The Air Products Indonesia team painted the entire building, both inside and out. Air Products Indonesia has historically provided donations for school tuition to about 300underprivileged students. This was the first time the team had the opportunity to actively participate in contributing to the community.
