In connection with a grant provided to our local PBS affiliate, WLVT-Channel 39, Air Products is partnering with the television station to produce 5 broadcasts focused on learning experiences for teachers across the state of Pennsylvania. These "teach the teacher" programs, which are produced in a digital format, will also permit teachers to earn required continuing education credits. The first 3 programs, focusing on geometry for grades 2 through 5, were written and will be delivered by an employee. These sessions will be filmed at a local PBS studio. We are planning a series of 2 additional programs focusing on a LIN Demonstration. Each of the 5 videos will be accompanied by related information available in hard copy, via web, and CD-ROM. Air Products will provide an introduction to these videos to emphasize our interest in supporting communities where we have a presence. When completed, we plan to send the set of videos to selected plant sites via a link to our PBS station. We are looking at the possibility of also having the series of programs made available to PBS affiliates at our significant plant sites across the US, as well as other ways to distribute these learning tools.
