Air Products and Chemicals (Shanghai) Co., Ltd (APSHL) recently received two awards from the Shanghai Pudong Public Police Bureau recognizing our China Electronics Operations team based in Shanghai Wai Gao Qiao (WGQ) Free Trade Zone for excellence in safety performance and security management.
The "2008 Safety / Security Advanced Group" award (pictured below, left) was presented to the WGQ site for obtaining good appraisal in the five award criteria: Organizational Safety/Security Responsibilities, Vindicating Stabilization, Information Sharing, Safety Measures, and Policy/Regulation Fulfillment and for achieving high scores on all monthly inspections done in 2008. This is the third award that the WGQ site has received to date in recognition of outstanding performance. The previous two awards were "Qualified Safety / Security Company" from Shanghai Pudong Public Police Bureau and “Safety Production Self-discipline Corporation" from Pudong Safety Supervision Bureau in early 2007.
The second award (pictured below, right) was presented to Morgan Zhang for his capacity as Shanghai WGQ Site manager, recognizing his leadership in safety management practices, chemicals/materials management, and overall site management.
The certificates and awards were presented to the site by WGQ Public Police Bureau (branch of Shanghai Pudong Public Police Bureau) during a site visit.
“This is another achievement and honor for the China Electronics Operations team at WGQ with the support from the whole China Electronics team. It reflects the safety culture and dedication of the team and the fact that the team has maintained excellent work ethics and good relationship with the Bureau,” said Andy Tuan, General manager of China Electronics.
The Shanghai WGQ site houses an electronics operations Technical Center, electronics specialty material warehouse and a high-purity nitrogen plant that supplies gaseous product to electronics customers in the industrial park. |
