Compressed Gas Association 2008 Environmental Recognition Award
Compliance Management – The Implementation of an Enterprise-wide Environmental Information Management System
 

CGA Award presented to Air Products(October 2009 ) – Air Products recently received an Environmental Recognition Award from the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) for its Compliance Management (CM) Project. CM involved the implementation of an electronic information management relational database system for planning, scheduling and tracking the completion of environmental regulatory and permit compliance requirements on a global basis.

The database can be integrated with distributed control systems, emissions monitoring systems and enterprise-wide business platforms to maximize its effectiveness. To date, all Air Products facilities in North America have “gone live” within CM, and our facilities in Europe and Asia are currently being built-out by regional EH&S and Global Operations staff, with complete global implementation scheduled for 2010. The Compliance Management Implementation Project was recognized by CGA for its environmental leadership, significant regulatory performance improvement beyond compliance, innovation, cost reduction and long-term effectiveness.
