4AP (All Asian-Americans at Air Products) Network
On 12 June 2007, employees doing outstanding diversity work were honored during Air Products’ third annual Diversity Recognition Awards. Twelve nominations were selected as finalists, and a single overall "best of the best" was chosen. The 4AP (All Asian Americans at Air Products) Employee Network was this year's winner.
With nearly 200 members, 4AP exemplifies the positive energy and enthusiasm of Air Products’ Employee Networks. Members work tirelessly to build inclusion both within the 4AP team and throughout the employee population. This past year, 4AP chose to work within their own group to build camaraderie and understanding and simultaneously share their cultures with employees outside the group.
Members and leaders organized and participated in several very successful initiatives, including:
- Jointly sponsoring India Day with the Tonnage Gases Energy and Equipment Diversity Leadership Team, sharing food, stories and activities.
- Embracing the EDEN (Ethnically Diverse Employee Network) “Buddy” program (an outreach to school age children) to develop the Asian Buddy program.
- Participating in the Martin Luther King Day of community service.
- Sponsoring a Lunar New Year Celebration.
- Developing the Building Bridges program.
- Creating Management Visibility and Executive Interface programs.
