(June 2009) – Earlier this month, Air Products Canada’s Saint-Augustin facility was recognized by Hydro-Québec, the Provincial power supplier, among the leaders in power management and energy efficiency in the Province of Québec. This makes Air Products a select member of Hydro-Québec’s Energy Savers Circle, one of only 40 companies who have received this distinction. Air Products Canada is the first industrial gas company to receive such an honor.

To be a member of the Energy Savers Circle, companies must achieve at least a five percent decrease in their power consumption. Through four different efficiency projects undertaken over the last few years, the Saint Augustin team was able to generate power savings close to seven percent. Teamwork, dedication toward a common goal, and support from other employees within Air Products were the ingredients that contributed to this recipe for success.
