Q: Can you briefly describe your job function in your current position?A: "Solving adsorption problems throughout the company."
Q: What is your favorite thing about your current position?A: "I get to work with all groups in the company, ASU, HYCO, rare gases, electronics, generated gases...even performance materials needs adsorption help once in a while."
Q: What made you want to join Air Products and what keeps you here?A: "Joined AP to "study" under Shivaji Sircar and learn about commercial applications of adsorption."
Q: Describe your most interesting/exciting experience at AP.A: "Most fun has been working with different people. I have friends all over the globe (Japan, China, Russia, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Canada, England, Mexico etc.) thanks to my position at AP. I wouldn't change that for anything."
Q: Outside of the Lehigh Valley, who and where do you interact with professionally?A: "Hersham, Carrington, Carburos, MATGAS, ITP in Siberia, U of Ottawa, U of Porto, Shanghai...the list goes on..."
Q: What is your favorite book or movie?A: "Favorite book...'Jitterbug Perfume' by Tom Robbins—favorite movie .'Casablanca'"
Q: What do you like to do outside of work?A: "I play soccer....still. Also coordinate the AP US team that goes yearly to Europe to challenge our European colleagues. We lose, but the beer and camaraderie are great."
Q: Where is your favorite vacation spot?A: "Favorite vacation spot...wherever I go next! I have a list of places I'd love to go and every year I knock one destination off the list. This year was Costa Rica...a real paradise."
Q: What Air Products-related accomplishment/moment are you most proud of?A: "Technically, commercializing a non-cryogenic process for the production of CO. From a commercial standpoint, it is my involvement in our H2 business. I have been involved since 1983 and I have seen that area grow and prosper."
