Q: Can you briefly describe your job function in your current position?
A: "I work with client groups across Technology to help solve technical problems. Most often these problems are associated with surface science or electrochemistry related issues."

Q: What is your favorite thing about your current position?
A: "I am able to become involved in a variety of different projects at different levels. Working on all these different projects, keeps your mind fresh."

Q: What made you want to join Air Products and what keeps you here?
A: "I liked the fact that I could practice my craft of materials characterization by applying it to a number of different projects. I wasn't being asked to simply work on one single project without branching out. I really liked all the available opportunities that existed at AP. Additionally, my wife and I felt that the Lehigh Valley would a very pleasant place to live. Simply put, I stay because I like the company philosophy, the people, and the work. AP promotes a very positive work-life balance which enables me to work to my fullest potential."

Q: Describe your most interesting/exciting experience at AP.
A: "In one of my roles, I work closely with individuals in an area completely outside my expertise. Although this is sometimes a challenge, this enables me to "see" different parts of the company and how they contribute to the overall business strategy. I enjoy doing this a lot."

Q: Outside of the Lehigh Valley, who and where do you interact with professionally?
A: "I interact with numerous individuals at both academic (University of Texas, Lehigh University, WPI-CHTE) and private industrial organizations (EAG). The whole goal is to embrace the concept of open innovation to drive new products over the goal line quicker and more efficiently. I tend to have a great deal of energy around this so working with outside academics, for instance, is very enjoyable."

Q: What are some community activities you're involved in?
A: "We are involved in the newly formed Trexlertown Families of Multiples Club. My wife is a founding member."

Q: What do you like to do outside of work?
A: "I very much enjoy spending time with my family. We have a daughter and two newborn twin boys that keep us very active. We do things outside as often as possible - walks and bike rides are favorites. We also enjoy gardening in the summer. Fresh vegetables from the garden are so much better than store bought. Actually, I guess you could say that cooking is a hobby for both me and my wife. We really like experimenting in the kitchen. More recently, I started beer brewing but that has been put on hold with the twins arriving. I also enjoy woodworking. Other than that I'm a big Philadelphia Eagles fan."

Q: Where is your favorite vacation spot?
A: "Our family has a house in North Wildwood, NJ in a quiet residential area. We frequently visit NJ throughout the year. Summers are great, but winters are very quiet and peaceful."

Q: What do you like about where you live?
A: "The people around my neighborhood are very friendly. The school systems in this area are also very good. The location of the Lehigh Valley also provides access to larger metropolitan areas such as Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore in only a couple hours or less."

Q: What Air Products-related accomplishment/moment are you most proud of?
A: "It's difficult to pinpoint just one moment where I am most proud. I simply enjoy interacting with a variety of individuals and helping them attack their research challenges by developing enabling solutions."
