Carrington's partnership experiences have included external partnerships in the forms of university funding and recruiting, joint development arrangements with small and large companies, venture capital funding, and in- and out-licensing.

Carrington's previous responsibilities within Air Products technology organization have included bench-level R&D on polymer gas separation membranes, polymeric materials for electronics applications, polymer emulsions for adhesives and coatings, supercritical CO2 processing of materials, surfactant design and activity, and polymer physical testing methods.

Carrington received his B.S. in Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University, Ph.D. in Chemistry at Virginia Tech and conducted post-doctoral work with L'Institut Française du Pétrole in Lyon, France. He's author of several patents and publications around his technical work. Professional memberships and activities include the Licensing Executives Society, American Chemical Society and the National Venture Capital Association.

Licensing Focus Areas: Cryogenic, adsorption and membrane based process technology for atmospheric gas separation and process gas separations, industrial gas application technology (specialty atmospheres, combustion, food processing, pulp and paper, specialty cryogenic applications), rare gas separation technology, cryogenic process and cryogen delivery technology, environmental process systems and equipment, sensors, medical devices, water and wastewater treatment technology.

Jeff has over 25 years of professional experience in technical and commercial assignments including over 20 years with Air Products. Since joining Air Products, he has held senior positions in technical sales, marketing, new product introduction and business development in our commercial and technology organizations. In these roles, Jeff was responsible for the development and execution of business plans for new offerings, the profitability of capital assets and maintaining positive customer relationships with both U.S. and internationally based companies. Jeff offers business development experience and technical knowledge in a wide range of technologies and industrial segments to assist with your evaluation of our technology offerings.

Jeff joined Air Products' Commercial Development organization in 1987 with a B.S. degree in Pre-medicine and a M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, both from the Pennsylvania State University. Jeff has coauthored two patents and is a member of the Licensing Executive Society.

Andrew Mak is located in Hong Kong and is responsible for the external technology and licensing activities for Corporate Technology Partnerships in Asia. He has been with the Company for over thirteen years during which he has worked in process engineering, venture, project, and project and business development. He particularly interests in fluid flow problems and their applications to engineering design. Andrew has over 22 years of industrial experience. Prior to Air Products, Andrew worked for BHR Group Ltd in England and E I du Pont de Nemours Co Inc in USA and Singapore.

Andrew received his MEng and PhD, both in Chemical Engineering, from the University of Leeds and London University (UCL). He has a MBA from Open University of Hong Kong. Andrew is a member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers, a chartered engineer and a fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. He is the author of more than 30 technical papers and reports and a design guide. Andrew is currently serving as an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.

Licensing Focus Areas: Cryogenic Gases, Packaged Gases, Air Separation, Electronics, Gas Liquefaction, Membrane Separations, and Distillation.

Zolt has worked at Air Products for 29 years in engineering, technical sales and product management positions and has been involved with Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) for the past 6 years and has negotiated licenses and partnerships in a wide range of technologies. Most recently Zolt has been actively involved in out-licensing and related IAM transactions which extract value from Air Products' intellectual assets. He has executed contracts in the fields of Semiconductor technology, Analytical Systems, Software, Gases and Chemical processing technology, Packaged (cylinder) Gas technology, and Cryogenics. Previously Zolt worked for 10 years in the Semiconductor Division and prior to that with non-cryogenic gas systems.

Zolt holds Bachelors degrees in chemical engineering (Lehigh University) and psychology (Kutztown University) and is a member of the Licensing Executives Society, the American Chemical Society, and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Bob is the Manager, Technology Transfer at Air Products and is responsible for developing research partnerships with and licensing technology from universities, national laboratories and small companies.

As a member of the company's Corporate Technology Partnerships group, Bob's mission is to enhance the company's core skills and facilitate rapid development of new innovations through early access to external technologies and expertise. After joining Air Products in 1976, Bob served in various roles managing analytical technology, instrumentation and equipment technology, corporate research, and corporate partnerships.

Bob is a member of the American Chemical Society serving as chair of the ACS Committee on Corporation Associates from 2001 to 2004 and is currently chair of its Finance and Grants subcommittee. He previously chaired its Education Subcommittee and has been active in the Pennsylvania Chemical Industry Council's education subcommittee. He serves as company representative, board member and treasurer of the Coalition for the Commercial Application of Superconductors. He is an affiliate member of the Association of University Technology Transfer Managers, is currently vice-chair of the Industrial Research Institute-External Technology Directors Network and is a past chair of the Directors of Industrial Research-Analytical Group.

Bob earned a B.S. Chemistry degree from Lafayette College and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts.

Kerri has been employed with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. for fifteen years. Her partnership experiences include joint ventures with small start up companies and large established companies, venture investing, out-licensing, and university alliances. Additionally, she is also responsible for intellectual asset management/strategy as well as the identification and assessment of start-up companies synergistic with APCI strategic interests.

Her previous responsibilities included a variety of technical and business leadership roles within both the gases and chemicals divisions including process engineering, corporate research, applications development, portfolio management and business development. Much of her career has been spent in the identification of growth opportunities for existing and emerging business areas, initiation of customer/partner relationships and bringing new products to market quickly and efficiently. Towards that end, Kerri has served as the commercial lead on internal stage gated projects, led cross-functional teams in the development of new products and work processes and pursued new venture investment opportunities that fit divisional strategy.

Kerri holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. She has certificates in corporate entrepreneurship from Lehigh University and a certificate in corporate venturing from the Wharton School. Her professional memberships include the Licensing Executive Society, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the Commercial Development and Marketing Association.

Vince manages external global technology partnerships as well as licensing. These technology partnerships developed include academia, corporations, and technical institutes. Vince is also experienced in technology valuation.

Vince's 31-year career at Air Products has focused on R&D, technology management, technology transfer and commercial development. He developed five licensed process technologies, four of which are commercially applied in over 30 installations worldwide. His technical expertise is in advanced ceramic materials, electronic materials and forest products process technology. He has 21 U.S. patents and has published 75 journal articles and national conference presentations.

He currently serves on the Advisory Board of Tech Connect Summit and the Executive Board of AIChE's National Programming Committee. Vince graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, as well as an M.B.A. from Lehigh University (emphasis in technology management).

Javier is located in Barcelona, Spain and responsible for the Technology Partnerships of the company in Europe, including, joint development agreements, and research projects partnering with European research centers and universities. He is also responsible for the government contracting activities in Europe that involves participation in public funded programs (VIIFP or national or regional programs), and licensing opportunities throughout Europe.

He has been with the Company for over thirteen years and served in various managerial R&D assignments. Prior to his present role, Javier served as Manager of Business Development within Corporate Technology Partnerships at the Corporate Headquarters located in Allentown, PA. Previously, he was the R&D Manager at Carburos Metalicos as well as General Manager for MATGAS which involves a R&D partnership with the Spanish Council for Research and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has experience in projects on new materials, hydrogen storage, carbon dioxide production, purification and applications as well as food and water applications, all of which embrace an open innovation approach working and partnering with external companies, research centers, universities and governments.

Javier received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from University of Barcelona and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Metallurgy from The University of Barcelona. He is author of several patents, publications, and co-director of two doctoral theses.
