Charitable Giving and Philanthropy

Air Products is a proud partner of many non-profit organizations in the communities where we live and work. Our different type of partnerships, including volunteer involvement and financial support, are as varied as the organizations themselves.

The Air Products Foundation provides philanthropic contributions that improve the lives of people in our communities. Through financial contributions, in-kind donations and volunteerism, the Air Products Foundation supports initiatives focused on enhancing opportunities in, Education, Health and Human Services, Community and Economic Development , Arts and Culture and Environment, Safety and Sustainability.

Matching Gifts Program

In the United States, we provide a Matching Gifts program to higher education institutions and qualifying nonprofit arts and cultural organizations. Gifts to accredited colleges and universities are currently matched 1-for-1, up to $5,000 annually per eligible employee. Gifts to arts groups are currently matched 2-for-1, up to $2,000 annually per eligible employee.

Contribution Requests

Air Products is a socially responsible company and that responsibility is demonstrated through our corporate contributions program. The Air Products Foundation and the company donate millions of dollars annually to non-profit, tax-exempt organizations in need in communities around the world where the company has a significant presence or investment.

In making funding decisions, a variety of factors are considered.  In your request for funding, please include the following:

  • Description of the agency and the role it plays in the community
  • List and type of involvement by Air Products employees who volunteer at the agency
  • Description of community need
  • Request summary including amount
  • Project description as it relates to the mission of the organization
  • Metrics for how success will be measured
  • Current budget for project including other funding/support received
  • Complete name, address, phone and email for the applicant
  • List of board of directors and their terms
  • Form 990 for the most recent fiscal year and IRS determination (EIN) verification.
