Investing in Our Communities
Our commitment to corporate citizenship is about working to improve the quality of life in our operating communities in partnership with local organizations. Air Products is committed to doing good work that improves the lives of people in our host communities through financial contributions from the Air Products Foundation, in-kind donations, employee directed giving, and employee engagement with nonprofit organizations. Our support priorities are in education, health and human services, community and economic development, arts and culture, and environment and safety.
We work closely with community partners including not-for-profit organizations, emergency responders, elected officials, education, business and community leaders in our operating communities around the world to identify opportunities to make a positive impact.
In 2018, we matched each employee and retiree donation dollar-for-dollar, and our record-setting United Way campaign was $3 million, which was an increase from the amount raised in 2017. All United Way contributions stay in the communities where our employees and retirees live and work, and those dollars are designated to community programs and agencies in need. Through the United Way, our employees and our retirees can become champions of social causes that really ignite their passions, and Air Products is honored to support that.

Lehigh Valley Grants Program
The Air Products Foundation is proud to support our headquarters community in eastern Pennsylvania through our Lehigh Valley Grants Program. To be eligible for consideration, nonprofits must serve the community in the Lehigh Valley which includes the Allentown Bethlehem and Easton area of Pennsylvania. Nonprofits in our headquarters community can apply using our Air Products Foundation Grant Application: Air Products Foundation Grant Application. For any questions on the Lehigh Valley program, please contact Laurie Hackett.
Employee-Directed Matching Gifts
This program is open to full or part-time U.S. employees of Air Products. The Air Products Foundation will make matching contributions to any eligible 501c3 nonprofit organization. The Foundation reserves the right to determine the eligibility of a matching gift as well as the eligibility of a given organization. The Air Products Foundation will match dollar-for-dollar any contribution made by the employee. The maximum amount the Air Products Foundation will donate in any fiscal year for each eligible individual and spouse gift combined is $10,000. The minimum amount is $25.
Eligible individuals may designate their gift to the eligible nonprofit organization and 100% of the matching gift amount will follow that designation. The Matching Gift year is consistent with the Air Products fiscal year which is from October 1 through September 30. Donations made after September 30 will be considered the next year’s gift.
United Way in the U.S. and Around the World:
Air Products is a strong supporter of the United Way and celebrates the important work they do in communities in the US and around the world. For the 2019 United Way campaign, the Air Products Foundation will match dollar-for-dollar any contribution made by a current employee or a living retiree up to $50,000. Employees and retirees are encouraged to designate their contributions to nonprofit agencies throughout the United States. The 1:1 match that comes from the Air Products Foundation will follow the designation, with 75% of the matching dollars going to the agency or program of choice and 25% going to the United Way in the home community of the employee or retiree.
